From this month, walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users will be able to enjoy ‘impressive views’ of the Exe estuary.

The National Trust’s Lower Halsdon Farm, in Exmouth, has a new 1km multi-use path across the northern edge of its land, connecting the Exe Estuary Trail to Exeter Road.

David Ford, from the National Trust (NT), said the charity was ‘excited’ to see the new path at Lower Halsdon completed, adding it was the wish of Stanley Long, who handed the farm to the NT, that it should be enjoyed by the people of Exmouth.

Peter Blyth, the lead ranger on the project, said: “We’d like to say a big thank-you for all the community support we have received for the project.”
