A horse died on Exmouth beach on Sunday afternoon after it collapsed while being ridden. Read this and more.

MOUNTAIN BIKE THEFT: Police are appealing for help tracing a mountain bike stolen from a home near Exmouth seafront.

Officers said the distinctive Gary Fisher bike was stolen from Alston Terrace on Thursday, October 18, during the day.

Exmouth police have described the bicycle as being a pearlescent colour, with red steel disc brakes, all-black wheel rims and spokes, plus red pedals.

If you have seen the bike, or been offered one for sale which matches the description or have any information about the crime, contact Exmouth police on 101, quoting crime reference KE/12/2434.

HORSE DIES ON BEACH: A horse died on Exmouth beach on Sunday afternoon after it collapsed while being ridden.

Exmouth coastguard and paramedics were called to the beach shortly after 4.30pm.

A Portland coastguard spokesperson said: “Exmouth Coastguards and South Western Ambulance attended a female who was injured after her horse collapsed on the beach at Exmouth.

“She was checked but not seriously injured so was not taken to hospital. The horse, sadly, died.”
