Here’s my £500

12:29 24 February 2012

To Roy, Roger and all the directors of Rolle (Exmouth) Ltd, hearty congratulations on the organisation and conduct of the public meeting in the pavilion.

The many people who braved the cold were rewarded with a lucid and positive presentation on all the issues and the backdrop of photographs of Rolle itself was an excellent idea and truly inspirational.

As Roy rightly said,:“After a hard struggle, we have finally reached base camp – now we have to climb the mountain!”

Two-and-a-half years ago, I recall writing to you, saying that we, the people of Exmouth, should be prepared to put our money where our mouths are.

This time has come. I shall take great pleasure in sending you a cheque for £500 as an initial gesture towards the £350,000 needed to get the refurbishment done on the first set of buildings to be brought into use.

Onwards and upwards!
