Help police trace Exmouth Fun Park vandals

13:27 15 April 2014

Extensive damage has been caused at Exmouth Fun Park, police say. Officers are appealing for public help to trace the culprits who vandalised play equipment and seats.

Police are keen to trace vandals who caused extensive damage to equipment at Exmouth’s Fun Park.

Officers said the seafront attraction, on Queen’s Drive, was targeted sometime between 6pm on Tuesday April 8 and 8.15am the following morning.

Police believe the culprits scaled a wall to wreak havoc in the play park.

A Devon and Cornwall police spokesperson said: “People have trespassed on to Exmouth Fun Park and caused considerable damage to the play park area. “They have gained access by climbing over the wall or fence.

“Slides were burnt through with a lighter and over 20 tables were flipped over, causing damage to play equipment.”

Police are appealing for information about the vandalism. If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time the crime was committed, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously, and quote crime number KE/14/777.
