Hear our voices

PUBLISHED: 07:00 12 January 2013

With the happy memories of Christmas still fresh in our minds, may we wish you all a very happy New Year with the prospects of any changes to Exmouth being to the benefit of all residents and visitors to the lovely town.

We echo the sentiments of Mike Green and Goff Harris in the Journal in which they express their heartfelt disapproval about the future of the Elizabeth Hall site.

Like many others, we have added our names to the welcome petition against the introduction of a Premier Inn at this location, but any objections seem to fall on ‘deaf ears’ among the East Devon District Council members.

Do they perhaps not live in the vicinity?

Words do not seem to be enough to try to convince the council that the planned size and height of this proposed motel would be detrimental to surrounding homes, hotels and restaurants.

Are there any further representations we can make to make voices heard?

We wish you all continued success with your campaign.
