Budleigh Film Society is offering a special half-price ticket to new members.

The film society already has 352 members, up on last year, but they have doubled the numbers of show times.

Films show at 5pm and 8pm allowing for new members to join if they would like to.

The remaining films for the season are: Mao’s Last Dancer; based on the real life story of a talented dancer born into a peasant family during the Cultural Revolution, A Separation; set in Iran with fascinating insights into shariah law, Mlle Chambon; an age old dilemma set in modern day provincial France, Habemus Papam or We Have a Pope; a gently humorous film set in Italy and finally Brideshead Revisited.

Margaret Yerrell said: “Now half-way through its fifth season, Budleigh Film Society is offering a special half-price ticket to new members joining after Christmas.”

At only £12 for the half season, plus the one-off £5 joining fee, this is terrific value.

Brochures with application forms are obtainable from the public library, or from Orchard Wholefoods, or visit our website.
