Exmouth’s Glenorchy Church groups and activities continue at the Salvation Army hall, in Sheppards Row, while the church undergoes some structural improvements.

Exmouth’s Glenorchy United Reformed Church, in Exeter Road, says it is business as usual while the building undergoes extensive refurbishment over the next few months.

The front of the church is currently being redesigned and, until its completion in September, its groups are sharing the nearby Salvation Army hall, across the road in Sheppards Row.

The Reverend Robert Jennings said: “Major Steve Watson and his people have generously offered us a home while the work is being done. All of our activities have moved, some to the Salvation Army hall and others to other venues in the town.”

The Glenorchy Work Club has moved to Exmouth Moose Hall, in Church Road.

The group meets on Thursday mornings from 9.15am until 12.30pm.

Mr Jennings said the club offered internet access for job searches, a list of current available jobs and volunteers who can help with job applications and CV preparation.
