The ‘pop-up’ Fine Art Gallery in Exmouth town centre has opened its doors for the Christmas season.

The gallery, in Church Street, was packed for its opening afternoon, which saw organising artists Mark Loman and Simon Ashby holding a raffle of original paintings worth more than £300, which were won by Ann Vincent, from Exmouth, and Zac Lees, from Chudleigh Knighton.

Mark also raised more than £80 on the day for the British Heart Foundation with sales of the greeting card ‘Boys on the River’, produced in memory of his father, Robert Loman, who died earlier this year.

Cards are still available at the gallery, which will also be exhibiting and selling other works by Mark and Simon until Christmas Eve.

Both artists will also be doing painting demonstrations at the gallery this Saturday, December 7, with Simon at 11am and Mark at 5.30pm.
