Visitors have turned out in their droves to a Lympstone garden, raising thousands of pounds for charity.
The garden at The Lookout was open for two days as part of the National Gardens Scheme – with more than 620 people stopping by to enjoy the flowers and plants on view.
More than £3,000 was raised for NGS charities in the process, and garden owner Jackie Michelmore said: “We had lots of local support, as ever, but a number of people travelled quite a way, and it was so nice we could show the garden to them.
“We had a big team of helpers, with three generations of my family and lots of friends and helpers from the village, and we were glad people came to make that worthwhile.”
he weather forecast was for one month’s rain in a day, but there wasn’t a drop of rain and it was a lovely day, perfect for visiting a garden.
