The parish council has asked the owner of the fridge, dumped on the recreation ground, to remove it. Read this and more.

STANTYWAY RECREATION GROUND: The parish council has asked the owner of the fridge, dumped on the recreation ground, to remove it.

The ‘unsavoury graffiti’ which has appeared in the Jubilee Playground has been reported to the police who will be taking action.

East Devon District Council are going to remove it.

CHURCH OPENS: All Saints Church in East Budleigh has now reopened.

The church was temporarily closed over August and early September due to building work which included new central heating and repairs to the organ.

LADRAM PARKING: Free parking passes in Ladram Bay for the residents of Otterton are being issued.

The passes are limited to one per household and are valid Monday to Friday out of the school holidays.

Please note parking after 6pm throughout the year is free of charge, including weekends.

To collect your pass please take proof of identity and a utility bill to reception. A passport-size photo is also required to attach to the pass.

CHARITY: The chairman of Christian Aid Budleigh, John Goatley, has retired after 16 years. During his tenure the committee expanded their fundraising activities to more than £5,000 a year.

He will continue as a methodist representative of the committee. The new chairman is Reverend David Scrace.
