BLOOM: Budleigh in Bloom will be holding their annual general meeting on Wednesday, February 13 in the Council Chambers at the Public Hall 7.30pm.

Important changes will be taking place with the appointment of the new chairperson. Pat Prew said: “We would really like to encourage everyone with any interest in our work to come along and find out more about us.

“New committee members and volunteers are always welcome, in fact any kind of input or help at all is received with gratitude.

“Anybody wishing to put aside any time to keep Budleigh Blooming can do as much or as little as their time allows.

“Please spread the word and bring a friend along, we look forward to seeing you.”

FLOOD WARDENS: Several East Devon residents have put their names forward as volunteer flood wardens following the recent flood surgery held at the village hall by Devon County Council and the Environment Agency.

Flood Wardens are there to alert and support their local community when a flood warning is issued.

The most at risk areas in the village are Frogmore Lane and Lower Budleigh where homes have been flooded.
