Archant

Fire fighters were called to a derelict property in Douglas Avenue last night (Monday) after reports of flames coming from the building.

Three crews from Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Topshom raced to the scene of the fire at 5.15pm.

They found a ‘developed’ fire within the two-storey building and set to work searching the building using breathing apparatus.

A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and the smoke-logged property was also ventilated.
