Marpool Primary School is holding its latest family bingo evening. Read this and more.

BINGO: Marpool Primary School is holding its latest family bingo evening.

It takes place in the school hall in Moorfield Road on Friday, February 1. Doors will be opening at 6pm for eyes down at 6.30pm.

There are some great prizes to be won. Refreshments will be on sale and there will also be a raffle. All profits will go to the school PTA fund.


STRAW TALK: A presentation on thatched roofs in Devon in being held in Lympstone.

It is being given by Dr Jo Cox, and takes place in the Methodist Hall on February 11 at 7.30pm.

Entry costs £3, including refreshments.


GOODS TO BE SOLD: A jumble sale is being held to raise funds for Woodbury Village Hall.

The event will be at the hall on February 16. Doors open at 1.30pm, and jumble – not large furniture or electrical items – should be taken to the hall between 9am and noon on the day.


APPROVED: Plans to extend a home in the Avenues have been approved by East Devon District Council.

The plan is for two-storey and single-storey extensions to be built at 28 Cranford Avenue.


SKITTLES: Withycombe churches are holding a parish skittles evening.

It takes place at Liverton Copse Community Centre tomorrow, from 6.30pm, costing £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, including refreshments.


EXTENSION: Plans to build a rear extension at 70 Rosebery Road have been approved by East Devon District Council.
