WOODBURY: District planners have approved the construction of a single-storey extension, conservatory and dormer windows to facilitate a loft conversion and detached garage at Byways, Bonfire Lane, Woodbury.

CHRISTIAN HISTORY: A talk on Christianity from the Romans to the Norman Conquest is being presented by the Lympstone History Society.
It is being given by Derek Gore, of Exeter University, and takes place at the Lympstone Village Hall Function Room on January 23 at 7.30pm.
Admission costs £3, and is open to all.

OPPOSED: Plans to build a single-storey extension at an Exmouth home have been opposed by Exmouth Town Council.
The plan concerns Flat One at Crossingfields House, in Exeter Road.
Councillors said they would endorse the concerns of members of the public who have submitted objections to the scheme on the grounds of noise, parking and loss of light.
East Devon District Council will make the final decision.
