An application to extend a Clyst St Mary home has been backed by Bishops Clyst Parish Council. Read this and more.

WORLD DAY: Topsham Churches will be marking the Women’s World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 2.

The service has been prepared by Christian women in Malaysia.

It will be held at St Nicholas Methodist Church at 2.30pm. All are welcome.

LISTED CHANGES: Plans have been submitted to modify a listed building in Topsham.

The owners of 40 Monmouth Street want to remove a conservatory, build a two-storey extension to the rear of the property, install a sunken patio, fit solar panels and a rooflight, and make some other minor alterations.

The plan will now be considered by Exeter City Council.

EXTENSION: Plans to extend a Clyst St Mary home have been approved by East Devon District Council.

The owners of 15 Grindle Way applied to build a two-storey front extension, along with a replacement conservatory.

TWO STOREY: An application to extend a Clyst St Mary home has been backed by Bishops Clyst Parish Council.

The owners of 29 Winslade Park Avenue want to build a two-storey extension to the side of the property.

Councillors raised no objections to the plan, however they did draw attention to the closeness of the planned extension to a neighbouring house.

The plan will now be considered by East Devon District Council.

EYES DOWN: The latest bingo evening in aid of Topsham Town Fayre is being held at Matthews Hall.

It takes place this Tuesday. Doors will open at 6.30pm, ready for eyes down at 7.30pm.

Cash prizes will be on offer, and a prize raffle will also be available.

All profits will go towards Fayre funds.

ORGAN CONCERT: The latest concert from Exeter Electronic Organ Club is coming to Topsham.

Ian Griffin will be appearing at Matthews Hall on March 1.

Visitors are welcome, and tickets on the door cost £6.

The concert will be preceded by the club’s annual meeting. Doors open at 6.30pm.
