From making colourful dragons to learning a dragon dance and setting up their own Chinese restaurant, the pupils really enjoyed welcoming in the Year of the Horse.

“The foundation children had a brilliant time celebrating the Chinese New Year,” said Mrs Sam Vivian, one of the foundation teachers.

“Activities included Chinese writing, role-play Chinese restaurant, making noodles out of modelling clay, using chopsticks to pick up rice and string, making Chinese dragons using paper and lollypop sticks, and Chinese dancing.”

One of the pupils said: “I enjoyed dancing like a dragon. I made my own Chinese puppet.”
