Residents living in areas of Withycombe Raleigh have received letters from Exmouth police warning them of increasing car crime.

The letters have been delivered to homes in Bradham Lane, Chudley Close, Brooklands Road and Brackenwood following a spate of crimes where vehicles parked in Bradham Lane, Denmark Road and Masey Road were targeted.

Devon and Cornwall police said the neighbourhood police team would be carrying out a number of visits to the area, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and raising awareness of the crimes.

A police spokesperson said: “We have tasked specialist teams to patrol during the committed times.

“Exmouth CID are currently investigating the series of crimes and are working hard to identify the suspects.”
