An Exmouth teenager who went missing on Monday has been found safe and well in Cornwall.

Police have thanked the public for their help in tracing a missing schoolgirl from Exmouth.

Concern was raised for the welfare of missing 14-year-old Harriet Melbourne after she failed to turn up for school on Monday morning.

Harriet was found safe and well in Cornwall on Tuesday evening.

A Devon and Cornwall police spokesperson said: “Harriet has been found safe and well in Penzance.

“She was located at 6.15pm after she contacted her family.”
