Exmouth’s mayor and town crier joined in celebrations to mark the 100th birthday of gym-goer Don Holloway.
Mayor John Humphreys and Roger Bourgein joined up to 65 friends and family of Don at his home in Orcombe Court, Littleham Road.
Popular and sprightly Don has lived in Exmouth for at least 16 years, and until recently went to the local gym once a week to keep in shape, and still has an active social life.
The party included a centenary cake and party goers enjoyed wine, whisky and gin.
Manager of Orcombe Court sheltered housing Dorothy McIlraith said: “Don is a very active resident.
“He is very popular with the residents, and he is very charming.
“It was only last year he stopped exercising at the Cranford Club.
“But he is very social and still goes for coffee.”
Councillor John Humphreys said: “He is a very astute, fit and healthy man.
“Meeting him you would have never guessed he was 100 years old.”
