The building supplies firm handed over more than 300 gifts from its appeal across all branches.

Naomi Dymond, Children’s Hospice South West spokeswoman, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the number of gifts donated by RGB staff and customers this year and can’t thank everyone enough for their very generous support.

“Christmas is a very special time, and this is especially true for the families we care for at our hospices.

“It’s thanks to the support of the community that we are able to continue to make a difference to families across the south west. Thank you, from us all.”

Jenny Naylor, RGB Building Supplies spokeswoman, said: “This is the second year we have run our Christmas present appeal and once again we have seen how generous our customers and the local community are.

“A huge thank you to everyone who donated; all the gifts will help to ensure families staying at one of the charity’s hospices over the Christmas period have a magical time.”

The appeal invited customers and the local community to donate gifts suitable for a child of any age or their parents; more than 300 gifts were placed under Christmas trees in RGB branches.

Children’s Hospice South West is RGB Building Supplies’ chosen charity; the building supplies merchant has organised a number of fundraising events throughout 2017 for the cause.

The Children’s Hospice South West provides care - ranging from respite and short breaks, emergency and end of life care - for children and their families across the South West.
