An Exmouth business is celebrating after having its efforts recognised at the Devon Tourism Awards.

Having previously been named as a finalist, Mountlands Language School went on to be named on the night as a bronze award winner in the Best International Visitor Experience of the Year category.

With hundreds of entrants to the competition, the company says it was a major success - in its first year of entry - just to make it to the final.

Mountlands director Ella Tyler said: “It’s great for our business and our industry to be recognised in such an event and we are so proud of the experiences we offer our customers, especially when we have the wonders of Exmouth and Devon to show off.”

Mountlands has greatly increased its operations during the past two years, and now welcomes thousands of international junior students to Exmouth and the surrounding area.

Operations manager Laura Drake said: “We have an amazing community of families and local attractions that offer amazing experiences to all of our students. We wouldn’t have been able to have reached this success without them!”
