Exmouth RNLI’s annual sea Sunday service raised £260 for the charity thanks to the generosity of the congregation

Prayers were said and hymns sung for those working and living near the sea when Exmouth RNLI held its annual Sea Sunday service.

Around 100 people joined the volunteer crew at the service at the Queen’s Drive boathouse, which was led by chaplain Reverend James Hutchings.

Joining Exmouth RNLI crew and fundraising volunteers for the service were visitors, volunteers from the National Coastwatch Institution and Exmouth town councillors.

Exmouth Town Concert Band accompanied the hymns while the RNLI fundraising team volunteers read selected passages from the Bible.

Crewman Paul Balbi paraded the RNLI standard, which was on display at the altar throughout the service.

Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir were special guests, leading the hymns.

A collection was taken during the service, raising £260 for the RNLI.
