The seventh annual Oxfam Exeter to Exmouth Kayak Rally, hosted by Exe Sailing Club, is on Saturday, July 15.

The rally is open to paddlers of all ages and capabilities, and according to the organisers, ‘guarantees an exciting and fun day out for all the family’.

Registration is from 8.30am at Exeter Canoe Club, Exeter Basin, with last paddlers to leave by 9.30am, in order to reach The Turf by 11am for a briefing before joining the river at 11.30am on the turn of the tide.

Safety boats will escort the flotilla down the river to Exe Sailing Club where there will be refreshments and a barbecue from around 1pm.

Entry forms – downloaded from www.exe-sailing-club.org – need to be submitted by July 10 to Exe Sailing Club, Tornado, Shelly Road, Exmouth, EX8 1EG.
