Town gardeners are being invited to enter Exmouth in Bloom’s annual local gardening competition.

Entries are now open for categories including front gardens, back gardens, containers, hanging baskets, community efforts, bed and breakfasts, hotels, businesses, care homes, public buildings, schools, sports organisations, and wildlife-friendly gardens.

The Exmouth in Bloom committee says it hopes to encourage more entries this year, and for more schools to take part.

First prize is £100 of garden vouchers from Kings Garden Centre, which will also award £100 in vouchers to the winning school, and a box of ‘gardening goodies’ for every school entry.

Entry forms are available from the Exmouth Town Council office in Rolle Street, Exmouth Library, the Tourist Information Centre, Kings Garden Centre, Birds and Bees in Exeter Road, or online at www.exmouthinbloom.org.uk.

The closing date for entries is July 4. Judging will be between July 24 and August 4.
