Bad weather has led to the cancellation of Exmouth’s Family Fun Day on Saturday.

Exmouth Carnival’s Family Fun Day has been cancelled due to bad weather.

The news comes three weeks after the town’s carnival was cancelled due to a lack of volunteers.

Fun Day organiser Rebecca Hampson confirmed the event on Saturday will not take place due to concerns about the weather after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain on Saturday.

“We do hope to hold another event in the spring but the details have not been finalised yet,” said Rebecca.

“I am gutted that the Fun Day won’t take place but we can’t change the weather.”

Rebecca is in the process of informing everyone involved in the fun day that it has been cancelled.

On September 19, Exmouth Carnival, which is organised by a different group, was cancelled due to a lack of volunteers and a road closure making the usual carnival route impossible.
