Resurfacing work is underway on resurfacing a problem stretch of pavement in Exmouth.

Work on the pavement on the south side of The Parade began on October 9, scheduled to take three weeks. The pavement had been regularly blamed for causing pedestrians to trip.

Devon County Councillor Richard Scott, who sought together with fellow councillor Jeff Trail to have the pavement fixed, said: “We are very pleased that after a lot of hard work, we have finally managed to find a solution to the footpath issue on The Parade.

“After we were elected we immediately went to see John Hart, the leader of Devon County Council to make sure this issue was rectified.

“There was no money available or in the budget for the work in 2017 and we would like to thank John Hart for listening and supporting Exmouth and extend an invitation to the county council leader to visit Exmouth.”
