The career of a child star from Exmouth is going from strength to strength after she received another award.

Xia Vigor, aged eight, who was born in Exmouth and moved to the Philippines around five years ago with father Alan, won the BIBO Award for the best child star at the RAWR Awards, which cover the country’s entertainment industry, due to a public vote.

She had already received two awards this year for her performance in Filipino TV show Langit Lupa.

Alan said: “We want to show our appreciation to all those people in Exmouth who have voted for Xia. We know there are many from Exmouth, Exeter and Devon, because so many have contacted us.”

Alan added that Xia has a big new TV show starting soon on the Filipino ABS-CBN network, and will soon be receiving an award from YouTube for her performance as Taylor Swift on a TV talent show, which has been viewed more than 41 million times.
