The Exmouth Business Awards work well for sponsors, as Mountlands Language School (MLS) has discovered.

Having won the Tourism/Leisure Experience category two years in a row, last year MLS switched to sponsoring
the category, and reaped rewards.

“We enjoyed meeting similar businesses through interviewing and celebrating with those shortlisted,” said Laura Drake, MLS’s operations manager.

“We also networked at the awards gala with other local providers, which could benefit our business.

“In addition to the advertising benefits, our team enjoyed supporting the event, and attending the dinner.”

MLS will again be interviewing the shortlisted people in its category.

Laura added: “The social media posts gained great exposure for both MLS and our managing director Ella Tyler.”

Laura herself will be involved in this year’s judging, as she’s working as part of the Chamber executive and has volunteered to head the organisation of this year’s awards.

“Applications are now open, so don’t be afraid to enter,” she added.
