Emergency services was called to East Budleigh this afternoon, when a house collapsed into the road.
The fire service was called to the incident, in Hayes Lane, because the side wall of the house was said to be at risk of collapse – but by the time they got there, it was too late.
Exmouth Fire Station watch manager Dan Searle said: “On arrival, the cob wall had actually collapsed. It was the entire wall of the house, which was under renovation.
“No-one was injured – everyone was clear.
“We were just there for scene safety, isolating the electricity and the water.”
Devon and Cornwall Police also attended the incident.
