Dog rescued by fire crews after cliff fall

10:28 14 March 2014

Fire crews were called out last Thursday to rescue a dog which fell down the cliffs at Orcombe Point.

The fire service received the call at 3.05pm, and responded with a fire appliance from Exmouth Fire Station, and a specialist rescue team from Clyst St George.

On arrival, crews were directed to the scene by the dog’s owner.

Using lines to descend the cliff face, crews were able to rescue the dog, a small cocker spaniel.
