Four new locations for cycle racks in Budleigh Salterton have been approved by the town council.
The racks, which are being offered by Devon County Council through engineering firm Jacobs, will be free of charge to the town.
After the town council rejected the sites initially proposed for the racks, its foreshores and footpaths committee came up with four alternatives.
Three of these locations – on the seafront path between Lime Kiln car park and the East End Kiosk, behind the Public Hall, and on the coastal path in front of the Rolle Flats – have now been approved by the full council, along with an amended fourth location, on the seafront near Raleigh Wall.
The town council will now send its recommendations to Devon County Council, which has confirmed that funding for the racks is still available.
