Archant

Kind-hearted Budleigh residents have given themselves an eye-catching makeover to help raise funds for children with cancer.

A coffee morning was held at Temple Methodist Church Hall as part of CLIC Sargent’s Wear a Wig Wednesday appeal.

Scores of people turned out to enjoy a cup, browse stalls and also take part in the wig competition!

£511.24 was raised, both from the coffee morning and through collections at The Feathers Hotel, the Co-op and the Crusty Roll bakery.

Anne Williams, who organised the event with help from friends, said: “It went very well. A good time was had by all.”
