A fundraising event, held to support an Exmouth teenager’s trip to Uganda, raised more then £190.
Zoe Walsh, 13, is travelling to Uganda as part of a team on a Mission His Way-trip run by Brixington Community Church, and a show in the style of Ready Steady Cook was held to raise funds for team equipment.
Zoe’s mum Helen said: “I have been amazed at the local support we have had and it just shows there are still a lot of very kind people living in Exmouth.
“Zoe and I would like to say a big thank-you to all those who helped support our event.
“We would also like to say a special thank you to all the local businesses which so kindly donated raffle prizes, such as The Clipper, Little Evers and Skin and Tonic, to name just a few.
“We would also like to thank Pampered Chef consultant Dawn Snell, for running the Ready Steady Cook show, and Kate, at Attitude hairdressers, for agreeing to sell tickets for us.”
