Come on Inn!

I just wanted to write to you and say how happy I am that this site [the Elizabeth Hall] is being developed and is actually going to be used, and will bring more to Exmouth seafront in many ways.

My family and I run businesses close to the site, the Beach Shop, Juicy Lucy’s Surf Shack and takeaway, all in the Channel View complex.

We recently sold Channel View café but have kept the rest.

For years and years we have watched the Elizabeth Hall deteriorate and become an eyesore, only to be used by car boot sales on a Sunday.

When rumours first started about Premier Inn taking over there was a mixed reaction, and we always said “Why?”

This is great news.

I do not know anyone that does not want to see more things on the seafront to attract people, and the Premier Inn and restaurant is a brand that people know and use.

The Elizabeth Hall is a derelict building that nobody cared about until suddenly there was going to be change.

Our businesses shut down in the winter and we go away.

I’m currently in Mexico and was looking at something that linked to the Exmouth Journal and that’s where I came across the article saying it was all going ahead.

So I felt I should write and say I cannot wait to be a neighbouring business to Premier Inn and I look forward to seeing work start on the site.

Finally something is being done with a prime spot. We are finally moving forward on the seafront and this will be the start I hope.
