Kind-hearted Exmouth coffee drinkers have turned out to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Events were held across the town and East Devon as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraiser.

Among those taking part was the Bath House pub on Exmouth seafront which, along with the traditional coffee morning, held a ‘sponsored dawdle’ along the seafront.

Around 60 people took part in the dawdle, and £420 was raised overall.

Also fundraising for Macmillan were staff at Travelworld and Exmouth Information Centre, who held a coffee morning featuring a range of homemade cakes.

Travelworld’s Emma Burford said: “It was really successful.

“We raised about £300 for Macmillan, and any unsold cakes we gave to the Geoff Ingram day.

“We do something for charity every year, but we’ve had a come down from skydiving to holding a coffee morning, which is less scary!”
