A couple rescued by Exmouth RNLI earlier this year have shown their gratitude by holding a fundraising event.
Cocktails and canapés helped raise more than £1,500 for the RNLI when an Ebford couple showed their gratitude to the charity that rescued them.
Richard Ridout and Sarah Galliford, found out first hand about the work of the RNLI when the charity rescued the pair in June when they got into difficulty onboard their yacht, Whimsical.
To show their gratitude, the couple raised £1,556 for the RNLI with a charity auction, plus cocktails and canapés which added £400 to the total.
The couple thanked the generosity of all who attended the event and also
those who donated auction prizes and services, including: Jack in the Green at Rockbeare; Ash Marine, Topsham; Topsham wines; Richard’s Greengrocers, Topsham; Ruffle’s Hairdressers, Topsham; Paul Craven Marine, Exmouth; Edge Watersports, Exmouth; Topsham to Turf Ferry; Darts Farm, Topsham and Trout’s Boatyard, Topsham.
