Church redevelopment plans to be revealed

Brixington Community Church is holding a public meeting to show its revised development plans for its site in Churchill Road.

The meeting will be held on Monday (March 11) at 7pm, at Exmouth Community College’s Telfer Centre common room, on its Gypsy Lane site.

During the meeting, a presentation of the proposed development will be made, and this will be followed by a question and answer session.

The meeting will be chaired by college principal Tony Alexander, and is open to all residents of Brixington.

Reverend Simon Atkinson said: “We would welcome your comments or suggestions as to how we might best develop this site to meet the current and future needs of the local community.”

The church put forward initial expansion plans last year, but this scheme was strongly opposed by neighbours of the site, although Exmouth Town Council did not object.
