Children were awarded a medal last week to recognise those who took part in the summer reading challenge ‘story lab’.
In all 16 children were awarded at Budleigh Salterton Library by library suprevisor Margaret Hallett.
A total of 61 local children icompleted the challenge aged four to 11.
The children were set a challange of reading six books over the summer holidays which had an olympic or sporting theme.
They were then awarded bronze if they had read two books, silver for four books and gold if they completed the task.
The scheme is free and held annually.
