Members of Budleigh in Bloom are celebrating after winning a silver gilt for the town at the South West in Bloom Awards.
At the awards ceremony in Truro, it was announced that Budleigh had again won the award in the Ayre Cup category for small towns, a repeat of its award from last year.
In fact, the town recorded a higher score than 12 months ago, but this was still not quite enough to achieve a gold award.
Budleigh in Bloom chairman Bob Wiltshire said the judges had found their category very difficult to decide, and the standard overall to be higher than before.
He added: “I’m delighted with the result, and everyone recognises it is down to the commitment shown by our committee and all the helpers who strive to make Budleigh Salterton the unique place that it is.
“It would also not be possible without the loyal support of our sponsors.”
Although celebrating the latest success, Bob is already looking to the future, and says the group is keen to have extra help.
“The actual work falls on too few shoulders and we are anxious for more members to offer their services.
“It’s not necessary to make a huge commitment and the routine tasks of planting up, weeding, dead-heading and watering can be carried out giving as much or as little time as desired.”
