The main commuter route from Exmouth into Exeter is one of the focuses of a new highways improvement programme unveiled by Devon County Council.

Sandygate roundabout at M5 junction 30 will get a share of £9.8million for roads with a large number of potholes and structural defects. A total of £51.4million has been awarded to the council by the Government for highway maintenance for the year 2017-18. With 8,000 miles of roads, Devon County Council has the biggest highway network of any authority in the country.
