A motorist has had to be towed out after getting their car stuck on Exmouth beach.
The incident happened yesterday morning, when a jet-ski was being launched from the BMW 4x4 in front of the NCI Coastwatch tower. The car then got stuck at the water’s edge.
A Coastwatch spokesman said: “After many attempts to rev out of the situation the car was stuck even deeper, and Portland Coastguard was informed.”
The occupants left the car to seek help, and were eventually towed out by an RNLI tractor.
