A ferocious blaze which started at 2.15 at the Woodbury Car Breakers on Gilbrook this afternoon has caused concerns for local residents as thick black smoke has been drifting across The village.

Several of the local roads remain shut including the B3179 as 10 fire crews have been involved in trying to control the fire while a number of local residents have been unable to return to their homes because of the dangerous and potentially hazardous smoke.
