Supporters of Bay FM raised a toast on Saturday to celebrate the radio station’s first birthday.
Exmouth’s own radio station Bay FM celebrated its first birthday on Saturday, toasting its success with champagne.
Invited guests and friends of the radio station were invited to share Bay FM’s special day by founder and station manager, Andy Green.
The bubbly flowed and birthday cake was cut as visitors and well wishers toasted the radio station’s first year - wishing it many more successful broadcasting years ahead.
Andy Green said: “It’s been an amazing year with so much happening.
“My partner Julie and I have only taken a couple days off in the whole year but it has been worth it.
Mr Green said independent surveys showed in the last year Bay FM had achieved a 14 per cent reach locally.
“That is a fantastic achievement considering the choice that’s available,” said Mr Green.
Bay FM Radio is a volunteer-driven community radio station with annual operating costs of £7,500.
