An Exmouth slimming instructor has received national recognition for her work.

Lisa Boucher, who runs the Exmouth and Withycombe Slimming World groups every week – helping more than 350 people lose weight – was presented with a Gold Award at the national slimming club’s annual awards ceremony in Birmingham.

It is the third time Lisa has been awarded the prize since becoming a Slimming World consultant in 2008.

She said: “I am delighted to have received this Gold Award again. I love my job, I’m passionate about helping people to change their lives by losing weight and seeing them succeed is reward enough, so being given this recognition really is the icing on the cake.

“It’s not just a triumph for me though; this award belongs to my members too. They’re the ones who make our groups the success that they are, with their fabulous commitment, the lovely warm welcome they give new members, the wonderful compassionate support they give each other every week and, obviously, their impressive weight losses.”
