Archant

The Exmouth branch of the Royal British Legion has received recognition from a fellow service organisation in the land down under.

The legion sent a ceremonial scroll out last year with Exmouth residents Peter and Siobhan Dobbs – who were visiting Exmouth in Western Australia – for presentation to the Exmouth WA branch of the Returned and Services League – the largest services organisation in Australia.

Following the presentation, the RSL decided to reciprocate the gesture, and sent a pennant back with the Dobbses, which has now been presented to the legion at a meeting where Peter also gave a talk about the history of Exmouth WA.

Exmouth RBL chairman Dave Turner said the group was pleased to receive the pennant, and that a line of communication had been opened with the RSL which could lead to further collaboration in the future.
