Visitors to East Budleigh’s historic Salem Chapel had an extra treat during the Easter weekend, thanks to a display of local artwork.

This was the fourth year that the chapel has held its arts and crafts exhibition, and it featured a range of paintings, carvings and embroidery.

There was also a display by Ark Pottery of Ottery St Mary, a jewellery stall, and cards for sale. Salem Chapel’s Kathy Moyle said that although visitor numbers had been down on previous years, those who had attended had enjoyed it.

She said: “It was very nice. We present quite a variety of different art forms, and try to have all local artists, and the holidaymakers who come through think it’s lovely.”
