The first-ever service of Exmouth Land Train departed at 9am sharp from The Maer Road car park on Tuesday morning.

The service was supposed to start in May but was delayed after a series of unforseen issues at the factory.

Instead they used a training vehicle with the new train due to arrive later this week.

Helen Newton said: “In the meantime, we are using a similar train to start the service.

“To say we are excited over today is a huge understatment! We look forward to seeing you on the train.”
