The Devon Air Ambulance was called to Budleigh this afternoon, to take a patient with suspected heart problems to hospital.

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said the service received a call at 12.42pm to a man with a suspected heart problems in the grounds of St Peter’s Church.

The man was flown to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by the helicopter, which had made a landing in windy conditions between the trees on The Green.
