A pirate-themed pub crawl to raise funds for Exmouth RNLI has been planned for next week and all are invited along to the event.

A pirate pub crawl in aid of Exmouth RNLI is to take place in Exeter on Wednesday September 19, setting off from 11am at the Jolly Roger café, on Exeter’s Quay.

The event, which coincides with Talk Like a Pirate Day, last year raised a haul of £400 for Exmouth’s sea safety charity.

The organisers hope as many people as possible will join the pirate enthusiasts in the 12-hour pub crawl, with the last port of call at the Sorry Head, in Blackboy Road, where there will be live music.

Event spokeswoman Therese Canning said:”You can help us raise hundreds of doubloons and pieces of eight for our local RNLI lifeboat station.

“Join us at any point and let your inner pirate out. Pirate dress is not required, although you will have more fun with it.”

The group has organised a route of 15 pubs, which can be found by visiting: www.exeter-pirate-day.com
