Queuing traffic is building up on the main road in and out of Exmouth while firefighters tackle a barn fire at Exton.

The A376 road is currently closed while crews tackle the blaze. Motorists are advised to find an alternative route in and out of Exmouth, or face waiting.

The fire service was called to the Exmouth Road at 2pm, where crews from Topsham and Middlemoor set about extinguishing a fire in a building between Station Road and Mill Lane, in Exton, and the B3179, at Clyst St George.

Fire crews are wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet and main jet to bring the fire under control, which is in a building used for storing vehicles.
